do the usual stuff and if you get IP Routing Enabled NO in ipconfig /all do this

1. Start Registry Editor (REGEDT32.EXE) and go to the following subkey:

2.       HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip
         \Parameters
        

3. From the Edit menu, choose Add Value.
4. Enter the following values:
   Value Name: IpEnableRouter
   Data Type: REG_DWORD
   Value: 1
5. Exit Registry Editor and restart Windows NT.
